FPTech Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Inventory and Order Fulfillment

At FPTech, we provide a mix of ready-made components and specialized technical solutions. To manage expectations regarding delivery, we categorize our items as follows:

  • In-Stock Items: These are items held at our premises and generally ship within same-day to 3 business days.

  • Backorder Items: These are standard items that are currently out of stock but are expected soon. The estimated wait time or “Restock Date” is usually indicated on the specific product page.

  • Custom & Configured Orders: Items that require manufacturing or specific configuration involve a lead time for assembly and testing.  These times will be communicated on a case by case basis.

2. Processing Times

The time it takes to prepare your order for shipping depends on the item type:

  • In-Stock Orders: Dispatched within 3 business days of payment confirmation.

  • Backorder & Custom Orders: We will communicate directly with you to confirm the expected lead time and dispatch date. We strive to keep you informed at every stage of the manufacturing or procurement process.

3. Shipping Options & Methods

We offer various shipping methods to suit your convenience. Please note that certain products may be limited to specific shipping options due to size, value, or fragility.

  • To Your Door: Courier delivery directly to a street address.

  • Locker Collection (Pudo): Delivery to a Pudo locker of your choice.

  • Restrictions: Some items may be restricted to “Street Address Only” or “Locker Only” based on dimensions or security requirements. Available options will be displayed during the checkout process.

4. Understanding Delivery Timeframes

Once your order has been processed and collected by the courier:

  • Gauteng: 1–2 business days.

  • Main Hubs (Cape Town, Durban, etc.): 2–3 business days.

  • Regional/Outlying Areas: 3–5 business days.

Note: Our shipment process is paused during weekends and public holidays. Orders placed on Friday afternoons or over the weekend will be processed starting the following business day.

5. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, destination, and selected shipping method.  In some cases and products, shipping charges are waived or subsidised.

  • Standard Fees: Cover the direct cost of the courier service.

  • Multi-Location Fulfillment: If your order contains items dispatched from different locations, you may receive your order in multiple parcels.

6. Transit Damage & Tracking

  • Tracking: You will receive a tracking number via email once your order is booked with the courier.

  • Inspection: Please inspect your parcel immediately upon arrival. Any transit-related damage must be reported to info@fptech.co.za within 24 hours of delivery to facilitate a claim.

7. Festive Season & Stock Take

Please be aware that during the festive season (mid-December to early January), supplier closures may affect our ability to fulfill backorders. We also conduct periodic stock takes which may lead to a minor 24-hour delay in dispatching in-stock items.
