FxT Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the FxT mobile application, developed and published by FPTinnovations.

FxT is a timing and training application designed primarily for F3K and F5J radio-controlled glider flying. The application provides stopwatch, working-time, flight-recording and task-practice functionality.

We respect your privacy and have designed FxT so that it can be used without creating an account or providing personal information.

1. Personal Information

FxT does not require registration, login or the creation of a user account.

We do not require or collect personal information such as:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Physical address
  • Date of birth
  • Account credentials
  • Contacts
  • Personal photographs
  • Financial or banking information

You can use the application without providing us with any personally identifiable information.

2. Data Collection

FxT does not collect personal data from users.

The application does not send personal information to FPTinnovations or FPTech servers for storage or processing.

Information used by the application for its normal timing, stopwatch and training functionality is processed on the device as required for the application to operate.

3. Data Sharing

FxT does not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties.

Because FxT does not collect personal information, there is no personal user information collected by the application for us to provide to advertisers, marketing companies or other third parties.

4. User Accounts

FxT does not use user accounts.

There is:

  • No registration process
  • No username or password
  • No FxT cloud account
  • No user profile
  • No requirement to provide an email address
  • No login required to use the application

5. Advertising

FxT does not require users to provide personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

We do not use personal information collected through FxT for targeted advertising.

6. Purchases Through Google Play

FxT may be purchased or downloaded through the Google Play Store.

Payments and transactions made through Google Play are handled by Google and Google Play, not directly by FxT.

FxT and FPTinnovations do not receive or store your credit card details, banking information or Google account password.

Google may process information relating to your Google Play account, purchase, device or transaction in accordance with Google’s own privacy policies and terms.

7. Google Play and Android

Although FxT itself does not collect personal information, your Android device and the Google Play Store may process certain technical information as part of their normal operation.

This may include information relating to:

  • App installation
  • App updates
  • Device compatibility
  • Purchases
  • Google Play services
  • Operating-system diagnostics or security

This information is controlled by Google or the relevant device/platform provider and is subject to their own privacy policies.

8. Information Stored on Your Device

FxT may use information locally on your device as necessary to provide its timing, stopwatch, flight-recording, application settings and training functionality.

Local application information is not considered an FxT online account and is not uploaded to an FPTinnovations server for the purpose of identifying you.

You can remove locally stored application information by clearing the application’s storage through Android settings or by uninstalling the application.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Because FxT does not require an account and we do not collect or store personal user information on our servers, there is normally no FxT account information or server-side personal data for us to retain or delete.

If you uninstall FxT or clear its application data using your Android device settings, locally stored application information may be removed in accordance with Android’s normal application-management behaviour.

10. Internet Connection

The primary timing and training functionality of FxT does not require you to provide personal information to FPTinnovations.

Your device may still communicate with Google Play, Android system services or other services provided by your device manufacturer as part of the normal operation of your Android device.

Those communications are outside the control of FxT and are governed by the privacy policies of the relevant service providers.

11. Bluetooth Audio

FxT can be used with an external Bluetooth speaker so that timing announcements and training sounds can be heard by an individual or group.

Audio routing to a paired Bluetooth device is handled by the Android operating system and the connected device.

FxT does not collect personal information from a connected Bluetooth speaker.

12. Children’s Privacy

FxT is a sports timing and training application and is not designed to collect personal information from children or adults.

Since FxT does not require registration or the submission of personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.

13. Security

FxT has been designed to minimise privacy risks by not requiring user accounts and by not collecting personal information for storage on FPTinnovations servers.

No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should continue to follow normal Android security practices, including keeping their device and applications up to date and protecting access to their device.

14. Third-Party Services

FxT is distributed through Google Play.

Google Play and other services provided by Google or your Android device manufacturer operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the data-handling practices of the FxT application and FPTinnovations and does not replace the privacy policies of Google, Android, your mobile network provider or your device manufacturer.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if FxT functionality changes or if legal or platform requirements change.

Any updated version will be published on our website with a revised Last Updated date.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
